What to talk about...

I could talk about the whole James Carrion incident, but I think the rest of the UFO websites have already bludgeoned that one to death.

I could talk about how Stan appeared on Open Minds Radio to discuss the vast amount of evidence he has for his abduction case. I could also talk about the laughable and (in my opinion) staged phone interruption with a 'mysterious' voice that said: "You need to learn to keep your mouth shut".

Yes. I shit you not.

More than just the voice, the rather ho-hum reaction by everyone on that episode was a little less than convincing. If you're interested, it's the show from 1.22.10 and the voice comes in at about 29:26, but you will probably want to go a minute or two before that to get the context. Although, I'm not sure that matters.

Stan Romanek: Time Lord

MUFON's International Director, James Carrion, has a new post on his blog "Follow the Magic Thread" (or was it"Fallow" ? *snort*) regarding the threat of legal action by Stan Romanek towards MUFON.

Apparently Stan (or rather Stan's vocal chords, Lisa Romanek) are now claiming that James is lying - and that Stan never called and never mentioned legal action. Later on, she mentions that Stan did call the MUFON office (having previously said he didn't) and did ask for the legal department.

The new claim by Lisa is that Stan made the call after having read what James posted. The problem here is that the message was left at MUFON's office on December 28th, while James' article was published on the 29th. So, as Mr. Carrion points out, that would only be possible if Stan had travelled forward in time to December 29th, read James' article, then traveled back in time to December 28th, where he left the message asking for the legal department and where papers could be served.

So let’s examine some recent events that demonstrate how off kilter you are about the Romaneks. On December 28, 2009 Stan Romanek called the MUFON office asking for MUFON’s legal department. On the same day a “recorded voice” called the MUFON office asking for MUFON’s legal address so that MUFON could be served papers. On the same day, Leslie Varnicle, MUFON Colorado State Director received a voice mail from Stan Romanek also asking for MUFON’s legal department...

MUFON's Abduction Monitoring Project

Here's a gem of an article I found on MUFON's investigation into abduction claims:

A few years ago MUFON tried to catch ETs abducting humans. They selected a group of documented alien abductees and they began putting specially designed sensing units in each abductees’ home. MUFON had the abductee fill out forms each day on their recollection of the night before i.e., whether they thought something happened or not. The idea was simple and smart. You collate the data from the “tamper proof” sensors with the days that the abductee felt something happened. If the sensor picked up anomalies you would have independent verification something strange happened that same night.

MSNBC Coverage on Hawaii UFO

The title of this clip (that was named by someone on youtube) is misleading. However, it is interestig to see MSNBC coverage. The story is opened with an anecdote from the late, great Bill Hicks, it's intent to gain a laugh, but the fact that it is being reported somehwere other than The Sun or some random blogger is refreshing. One thing in particular that irritates me, beyond the obvious, is that the following statement is made: "Perhaps the first true evidence of intelligence from outer-space." There is more 'evidence' of the Phoenix Lights mass-sighting than this sighting, which very well could be a meteorite, so it seems peculiar that they attach significance to this video. The second image/video shows a thin white line that is said to have changed directions. But in looking at the footage myself, it looks like it really could be contrails. Perhaps not, but there is little in the image and footage itself to support anything else without further analyses. Still, it is nice to see some exposure from bigger media outlets.

Oh, and thankfully they interviewed an intelligent representative of MUFON.

Triangles, Triangles, Everywhere

Naveed over at Naveed's Realm reports that on Saturday, October 10th, another black triangle was witnessed by a number of club-goers in downtown Portland, near OHSU.

Oddly, this info is not posted on the Oregon MUFON site but is posted on the main MUFON site.

Fallow Romanek

Great post by international MUFON director, James Carrion

Are you fallowing me?

Stan Romanek recently took his story to the air waves on the Angela Joiner report to explain why the word fallow always seem to be showing up in documents related to his alleged claims of alien abduction and government conspiracy. Blogger Chuck Zukowski recently posted an article supporting Stan's claims that the word "fallow" was a commonly misspelled word and was not evidence of any impropriety in his case.
