1.) Credits: You're a geek behind a computer uploading videos - not NBC, so try and stay away from those 2 minute intros before the actual footage begins. There are few things more cerebrally painful than watching obviously fake footage or airplane lights under the guise of "extra-terrestrial craft". But having to witness terrible use of layout, typography and wipes in a 2 minute intro are pretty effin' close.

Betty and Barney Hill: Recordings

A cool link came through my Google Alerts today -- an old case, but a classic: The Betty and Barney Hill Abduction.

I remember watching the made-for-tv movie of this, when I was very little. It was one of my first introductions into UFOs.

These are the actual hypnosis-session recordings. The audio is obviously old and deteriorated, so it's a little hard to hear, but worth it if you're interested.

That Whole Vatican E.T. Thing

I Meant to post this yesterday morning.

Admittedly, while I don't buy into that whole Nov. 27th disclosure stuff, this is really pretty weird. Extremely interesting... and weird. I mean, for the Vatican to have a 5 day conference -- this isn't something you just decide to do one day. Is it the search for extra-solar planets that has prompted them to hop on the ball? I dunno. Possibly, but even if we find a (what we consider) habitable extra-solar planet, it would be a very long time before we could tell if there was life on it. So why the suddenness of it all?

I'm not getting all conspiracy on ya, but it would seem to make a certain amount of sense for an entity such as the Vatican to be the actual disclosure agents. Sure, it won't bode well with a whole lot of people (should the Vatican be chosen for such a role), but choosing a government to do it, is just as slippery.

I suppose we'll see. My gut says it's not a precursor to at least a near disclosure, but my brain does like to consider the scenario.

CNN - Vatican 5 Day Summit

October UFO Video - Beaverton, Oregon

As Naveed mentioned in his October Roundup, there wasn't a whole lot of UFO-related activity in Oregon (at least, that was reported). But this morning I was tipped off to a video which was apparently shot on the 16th of October at 10:52am, in Beaverton, OR -- a near suburb of Portland.

The title of the video says something crazy about a "Draco invasion" but just look beyond that zaniness. The object present is not anything too amazing to look at, and very well could be some sort of balloon. What's unique about this footage is that it was shot in the day - so, yay! No nighttime lights!

My feeling is that it is probably an IFO. When you get into the video a bit, the footage is repeated with a filter applied, and slowed down to 20% of bit's original speed. You'll then see little tiny objects zooming around, but upon rewinding back to the original shot, it looks like they are just insects, much closer to the camera than the main object was.

Delicious Girl Goes Wookie

I'm not a huge Star Wars fan. I liked it enough when I was younger, but I'm better designed for Star Trek TOS and TNG.

That said, this chick is hot and I want to have her babies:

Rare STS-48 NASA Feed - 1991

I usually don't go in for those zany NASA clips (such as the tether incident) but this one, STS-48 footage from 1991, is rather cool. At about 1:14 you'll see an object at the bottom right of the screen. It moves up and then arcs to the left -- no big deal... but then it changes direction and cuts right at an approximate 45° angle.

The majority of the objects seen in there NASA clips have been often dismissed as ice crystals or debris (which in some cases may be bullshit, but you have to take it into consideration). Ice crystals or debris that change direction -- now that is sort of odd.

MSNBC Coverage on Hawaii UFO

The title of this clip (that was named by someone on youtube) is misleading. However, it is interestig to see MSNBC coverage. The story is opened with an anecdote from the late, great Bill Hicks, it's intent to gain a laugh, but the fact that it is being reported somehwere other than The Sun or some random blogger is refreshing. One thing in particular that irritates me, beyond the obvious, is that the following statement is made: "Perhaps the first true evidence of intelligence from outer-space." There is more 'evidence' of the Phoenix Lights mass-sighting than this sighting, which very well could be a meteorite, so it seems peculiar that they attach significance to this video. The second image/video shows a thin white line that is said to have changed directions. But in looking at the footage myself, it looks like it really could be contrails. Perhaps not, but there is little in the image and footage itself to support anything else without further analyses. Still, it is nice to see some exposure from bigger media outlets.

Oh, and thankfully they interviewed an intelligent representative of MUFON.

That Whole Ecuador UFO Thing

I wasn't going to touch this, but then I heard - or read, rather - the translation. Read what is said about the U.S. confirming that extraterrestrial UFOs exist:



Of course, this proves nothing to most Americans -- that would most likely require our own government addressing it (which would be nice).

The Galician UFO Incident

For those of you unware of the Galacian UFO video that's been causing somewhat of a stir, here is the video:

Although the “Galician Trawler UFO” video has all the marks of a “Blair Witch Project” event, it appears to have been embraced by the UFO community as proof of extraterrestrial visitation. Angel Rodriguez, director of Spain’s GEIFO organization, is a former officer in the Spanish Navy and suggests that the video is actually showing a fishing boat being warned away from an area where naval aviation maneuvers are about to take place, hence the helicopter and the dropping of a marker buoy into the water (the “UFO” that plunges into the ocean, as in a Gerry Anderson TV production)...

NASA's Anticlimactic Moon Bomb

I was pretty sketchy on them bombing the moon. I don't care what anywaone says in opposition - it is not our piece of rock to go bombing - in any capcity. However, if such an event were to occur, I wanted to see it.

Well kiddies, it looks like another disappointment from our good friends at NASA. We saw absomurfly nothing. Like extreme nothing. I'm sure that in itself is going to beg a ton of questions, boil a lot of blood (from tax payers who at least wanted a glimpse), and kick off a whole new conspiracy! Ah well.

A Perfect Example...

...of why so many people do not report UFOs.

Disregarding the possibility of this footage being legitimate or not, or extra-terrestrial or not, look and listen to the live reporter and the news casters back at the station. This subject will never receive serious attention until it's knocking on our doors.



Now, the video itself - who knows. Lights in the sky. And sadly, footage and photographs are no longer acceptable as "proof." The insinuation that something mysterious was going on with the broadcast of the footage is kind of whatever to me. Sure, I suppose the possibility exists, but for some reason I find it hard that the Ohio military branch was really concern themselves with knocking this footage off the air. It would only show up online, anyway *wink*
